Mary’s Statement of Love to Scott

Scott, Twelve years of love have woven us together—through joy, through trial, through the quiet knowing that even when we drifted, our hearts never truly let go. We are, without doubt, each other’s home. No one could ever be a better partner, because no one else could ever be us.

You are the love of my life. The only one who can be the peanut butter to my joke, the calm to my chaos, and the man I will love and honor all the days of my life.

I’ll never forget that starlit night in Thermopolis—of all places—when laughter lit up the sky, and I fell into the water just to be caught by you. That moment whispered forever. And every ‘I love you’ since has only deepened its truth. I find new reasons every day to love you more—and I know that will never stop.

With you, love is a river—steady, strong, and full of grace. It carries us forward, healing wounds, dissolving fear, and making space for something new. Something holy.

I see you. Your strength, your softness, your resilient spirit. You’ve always seen me—even when I couldn’t. And for every sunrise we share and every whispered secret in the hush of night, I am endlessly grateful.

So today, I vow—To walk beside you through every season, To let love lead us when we falter, To choose you again and again, With a promise written deep in my soul—Unconditionally, and for all time.

Vows to Scott

You are my calm in chaos,
my laughter in quiet moments,
and the man I will honor and cherish all my life.

With you, love is a river—steady, strong, and full of grace,
carrying us forward into all that is new and holy.

So today, I vow:
To walk beside you through every season.
To let love lead us when we falter.
To choose you, again and again.

With a promise written deep in my soul—
unconditionally, and for all time.

Scott's Vows

We made it. Today has been a long time coming, and every step of my life has led me here to you.

Seeing you today, I’m proud to be the man who gets to call you my wife.

You are the most beautiful, patient, loving, and kind person I know. Through all the pain and sorrow and anxiety that life can bring, I will always be the one you can turn to.

I can’t wait to keep falling in love with you and making fresh memories every day – whether it’s a walk, a late-night talk, or laughing at jokes only we find funny, and yes I'll even memorize your allergy list someday.

Through the good, the hard, and the hilarious, I will always choose you.

Gerald “Jerry” Forreider

Lord, we ask your blessing on this wedding of Scott and Mary. Grant them patience with each others flaws, and give them the wisdom to grow together. May their love grow deeper with each passing year and may their home be filled with happiness. May their days be good long upon the earth. Amen.

A Prayer for Our Marriage

Lord,
We thank You for the love that has carried us through every season—
through joy, through trial, and through grace.

Bless our union and guide us as we build a life rooted in kindness,
patience, and unwavering devotion.

May our love flow like a steady river—
healing, enduring, and holy.

Grant us laughter in quiet moments,
strength in storms,
and gratitude for every sunrise we share.

Help us choose each other every day,
walking side by side in love and faith,
now and always.

Amen.

Agenda

The meaning behind the candle lighting

Floating candle ceremonies hold deep spiritual and cultural significance. The gentle glow reminds us of God's presence, the beauty of unity, and the bonds we share.

Placing your candle into the shared centerpiece symbolizes:

Thank you for being part of this sacred moment with us. These lights reflect our gratitude for your presence and the joy we hold in our hearts today.

Unity Floating Candle Ceremony

Welcome to this Special moment of togetherness

On your table, you will find a candle and a centerpiece bowl - a symbol of light, unity, and shared blessings. During the reception, Pastor Alex will lead a brief unity devotion. The wedding party will begin by placing their candles into the centerpiece bowls, followed by each guest adding theirs, signifying our shared commitment to love and unity. As your candle meets the water, it will shine - representing our prayers, hopes, and the joining of our lives and communities in God's love.
